The per-1,000 figure varies a lot by country, video length and program, and TikTok changes its rules. Use your own payout reports if you have them. Brand rate uses a rule of thumb of about $8 per 1,000 followers.
How TikTok creators earn money
TikTok has no single pay-per-view rate. Creators usually combine several income streams: a rewards program for qualified views (where available and eligible), brand sponsorships, LIVE gifts, affiliate sales through TikTok Shop or links, and selling their own products. This calculator covers the two that are easiest to plan, views and brand deals, and lets you set your own rate because it differs so much between creators.
The formula
Monthly income = (views per video × videos per month ÷ 1,000 × your rate per 1,000 views) + (followers ÷ 1,000 × $8 × paid brand videos).
Worked example
30,000 views a video, 20 videos a month and $0.50 per 1,000 views gives 600,000 views and about $300 from views. A 20,000-follower account doing one paid video adds about $160. Total: about $460 a month. The low scenario is roughly $260 and the high scenario roughly $820.
What affects TikTok earnings
- Eligibility. Reward programs have minimum followers, minimum views and content rules, and they change. Check TikTok's current page.
- Video length. Some programs pay only for longer videos.
- Audience country. Views from higher-spending countries usually earn more.
- Originality. Reposted or unoriginal content may not qualify.
- Niche. Finance, tech and education tend to earn more than entertainment.
Selling LIVE gifts? Convert them with the TikTok coins converter. Pricing a sponsorship? Use the influencer rate calculator. Also check your engagement rate, which brands ask for.

Frequently asked questions
How much does TikTok pay per 1,000 views?
There is no fixed rate. Reported figures vary widely by country, video length and program, and often fall well under a few dollars per 1,000 qualified views. Use your own reports.
How many followers do I need to get paid?
Rules change. Reward programs have often required around 10,000 followers and a minimum number of views in 30 days, but check TikTok's current requirements.
Do all views count?
No. Programs usually pay only for qualified views on eligible original videos, so total views overstate what is paid.
Are brand deals worth more than views?
For many small and mid-size accounts, yes. A single sponsored video can earn more than a month of view-based income.
