Instagram Money Calculator
Instagram does not pay a fixed rate per view. This calculator lets you set your own earnings per 1,000 views and adds brand-deal income, so you can plan with low, mid and high scenarios.
Free, no sign-up, runs in your browser. Updated 2026-10-29.
The per-1,000 figure is yours to set. Check your own Insights or payout statement if you are in a bonus or ad-revenue program. Brand rate uses the common rule of thumb of about $10 per 1,000 followers, times 1.5 for video.
How Instagram Reels income works
Unlike YouTube, Instagram has no single public pay-per-view rate for every creator. Income usually comes from a mix of invite-only bonus or ad-revenue programs (availability and terms change by country and over time), brand partnerships, affiliate links and selling your own products. That is why this calculator asks for your own earnings per 1,000 views instead of guessing one number for everyone.
The formula
Monthly income = (views per Reel × Reels per month ÷ 1,000 × your rate per 1,000 views) + (followers ÷ 1,000 × $10 × 1.5 × paid brand Reels).
Worked example
20,000 views per Reel, 12 Reels a month and $0.10 per 1,000 views gives 240,000 views and about $24 from views. A 25,000-follower account with one paid Reel a month adds about $375 at the rule-of-thumb brand rate. Total: about $400 a month, and most of it comes from the brand deal.
What moves the number
- Views per Reel. More reach means more bonus income and stronger brand rates.
- Engagement. Brands pay more for engaged audiences. See the engagement rate calculator.
- Audience country. Viewers in higher-spending countries are worth more to advertisers and brands.
- Niche. Finance, tech and business audiences usually earn more than entertainment.
